About EALDC

The Emerge Africa Leadership Development Center (EALDC) is a part of the MindTech Global Outreach Economic Initiative (GOEInitiative), with an underlying focus on mindset transformational leadership. The mission of the the MindTech EALDC is to inspire and guide entrepreneurs to discover their purpose, maximize their potential and run successful businesses or careers.

How we do it

In order to achieve this goal, the EALDC holds leadership training seminars and workshops for all youths and aspiring entrepreneurs. Our seminars provide youths with an open and inclusive environment where they learn the information they need to discover their leadership potential.

To facilitate unique and intentional experiential opportunities to develop youths ' sense of self and their potential to lead in their area of gifting.

Young men and women discovering their purpose and working in a collaborative environment to positively transform their lives, communities and nation.

Our Inspiration

Leadership can often be a vague concept with varying perspectives of what true leadership means these days. Using the Creator-Creation Leadership Discovery model as our foundation, we define leadership as the purpose for one’s creation by his or her creator to excel in an area of gifting that benefits humanity. We do not believe leadership to mean leading people, but the ability to serve your community and meet a need with your gift and then possibly lead others in that area. Leadership is exemplified in attitude, approach and actions and therefore, can be improved by combining an understanding of thought leadership theory with real-life experiences. The goal of the EALDC is to inspire and prepare young men and women to discover their purpose and true potential in life in order to positively transform their lives, their communities and beyond.

EALDC Activities

The center will develop course materials to train youths the skills they can use to gain employment or start a business

offer weekly, monthly seminars or workshops to educate, motivate, and inspire youths to develop mindsets that helps them realize their dreams.

Host public expositions in an effort to bring the community and businesses together to enhanced opportunities, attract investment and investors, educate, provide services, products, and talent recruiting

Center will seek to develop an incubation and mentorship program in collaboration with business leaders in the community to serve as mentors and coaches to young entrepreneurs

Center will be equipped with resources (print materials and technology, internet access) necessary to enable and facilitate learning.

Center will partner with entities that provide skilling and up-skilling in technology to enhance job creation and employment

Center seeks to graduate into the economy, 10 entrepreneurs the first year to start, and will go up in increments of five startups each year for the next 5 years

Center will develop and implement a short course on Biblical studies to enhance the understanding of key principles of purpose and success as designed by the creator (the manufacturer).

Why now

Uganda is a very young nation in terms of population demography. 75% of Uganda’s population is under the age of 40. This provides a prime opportunity as many youths are currently soul searching and trying to find themselves in lieu of their purpose in life. Also, the job market in Uganda is very weak and currently employs less that 30% of its graduates. This has caused stagnated unemployment rates amongst the youth. This present an opportunity to redirect their minds that are open and willing to look for alternative ways to sustain themselves economically. The system of education in Uganda is heavily invested in the tertiary education sector leaving technical or skilled trades industry wanting. The Center’s skills training will feel the gap in this area for Uganda’s economy.
